Get Fit with Fido Exercise Program

One of a kind workout program for dogs and humans.

Addison, TX, March 13, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Specialty Pet Training and Unleashed Dog Training are excited to announce a new program titled “Get Fit with Fido”. Anne O'Neill with Specialty Pet Training and Stacy Hiebert with Unleashed Dog Training have teamed up with Heidi Hodgson with Forever Fit, a personal fitness trainer, to design a program that helps owners become more physically fit while helping Fido do the same... plus they will be strengthening Fido's obedience skills in a distracting environment! The 8-week human workout & dog training program is set to launch April 21st at 8am at the Les Lacs Linear Park in Addison, TX.

“Dog owners need new, fun outlets for exercising their dog other than walks around the block which often times is more exercise for the dog’s nose than their muscles. The Get Fit with Fido program will give dog owners an exciting new exercise routine for themselves while enjoying the company of their dog,” states Anne O’Neill, owner of Specialty Pet Training.

The program has been carefully developed by personal trainer Heidi Hodgson, owner of Forever Fit, to include a beginning workout program that includes a warm-up routine, a cardio segment and a cool down that they will do in conjunction with training, handling, stretching, loving and exercising their dog. The class will also feature a “Nutrition” segment. Merrick Pet Care, a Texas based dog food manufacturer, will be speaking to the group on canine nutrition and Heidi will be available to discuss human nutrition. Attendees will enjoy samples, coupons and a great amount of information.

Forever Fit has been providing personal fitness programs for over 4 years and bases their fitness programs on each individual persons needs to help them build a leaner, stronger and fit body. “I am excited to be a part of this program. Getting bored with your workout is a big reason why people quit exercising… this helps them have more fun and enjoy it with their dog,” states Heidi Hodgson.

Enrollment is limited to only 10 dogs and handlers to allow for the personal attention all three companies are known for. To get more information about this exciting program or to register for the class visit SpecialtyPetTraining.com or UnleashedDogs.com, or call 972-768-7947.
