Meshcom MeshDriver 1.0 Released
Wireless mesh networking enabling software for PCs and embedded systems is now available.
Helsinki, Finland, March 15, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Meshcom Technologies, leading provider of wireless mesh networking technology and solutions, today announced the release of its long awaited MeshDriver 1.0 software. Network devices operating with MeshDriver enjoy self-healing, self-configuration, and optimized throughput and performance in fixed and mobile network environments. MeshDriver is initially available for Windows and Linux operating systems, and can be downloaded from the Meshcom website.
Mesh networks utilize many different devices such as laptop computers, Wi-Fi access points and PDA devices. In mesh networks, devices can transfer data between neighboring devices and act as a repeaters as well as dynamic routers for traffic – this is all done automatically. The major benefits for mesh networks are high reliability, scalability and easy to use. MeshDriver 1.0 release features AODV routing, AES data encryption and cross-platform support. It operates at Layer 2.5 which makes it very easy to integrate into any network device and existing networks.
MeshDriver has been developed to work in many different environments where affordable, scalable and reliable network connections are mandatory. MeshDriver can be effectively utilized in home, office and community/public networks, military and rescue operations, and industrial use. “Meshcom’s developed solution has infinite possibilities.
