NC State Jenkins MBA Launches Dual Degree with Golden LEAF Biomanufacturing and Training Center

New Program Designed to Prepare Future Managers in Biomanufacturing Industry.

Raleigh, NC, May 28, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The NC State Jenkins MBA program (http://mgt.ncsu.edu/mba/) in the Poole College of Management and the Golden LEAF Biomanufacturing and Training Center (BTEC) (http://www.btec.ncsu.edu/) have announced the launch of a Master of Biomanufacturing/Master of Business Administration (BIOM/MBA) degree, allowing students to obtain both a master’s degree in biomanufacturing and an MBA in two years. Designed to prepare program graduates to work as managers in the biomanufacturing industry, the BIOM degree will combine biomanufacturing courses with bioscience-focused MBA courses taught by Jenkins Graduate School faculty. Students selected for the BIOM/MBA program will spend one year taking biomanufacturing courses and one year taking MBA courses with a biosciences management concentration, during which time they will be working towards graduation requirements, including a summer internship in a related industry and concentrated introductory courses in accounting, finance and project management.
