The Metropolitan Denver Dental Society Elects 2011-2012 Executive Officers and Board Members

The results of the Metropolitan Denver Dental Society’s (MDDS) 2011-2012 membership election were announced on Friday, May 6, 2011.

Denver, CO, June 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- MDDS is a 114-year-old professional organization that acts as the unified voice for dentistry to advance dental education and public awareness for the benefit of its nearly 1,700 members and the Metro Denver community. The Metropolitan Denver Dental Society supports only the highest ethical practice of dentistry and works to improve the standard of dental care for the public. The Society is a component of the American Dental Association.

The following dentists have been elected to the Society’s Executive Committee:

President - Charles S. Danna, DDS, a member since 1977. He received his DDS degree from the Loyola University of Chicago in 1976. Dr. Danna’s general practice is in Littleton.

President-elect - D. Diane Fuller, DDS, a member since 1990. She received her DDS degree from the University of Iowa in 1977. Dr. Fuller’s general practice is in Denver.

Vice President – Mitchell Friedman, DDS, a member since 1981. He received his DDS degree from New York University in 1978. Dr. Friedman’s general practice is in Lafayette.

Secretary – Larry T. Weddle Jr., DMD, a member since 2001. He received his DMD degree from the University of Kentucky in 1996 and his Orthodontics Certificate from the Medical College of Georgia in 2000. Dr. Weddle’s orthodontic practice is in Westminster.

Treasurer – Scott M. Maloney, DMD, MS, a member since 2006. He received his DMD degree from the University of Kentucky in 1997, his Endodontics Certificate from the Naval Postgraduate School for Endodontics in 2004 and his MS in Health Sciences from George Washington University in 2004. Dr. Maloney has endodontic practices in Cherry Creek and the DTC.

The following individuals were elected to the 2011-2012 MDDS Board of Directors:

Karen D. Foster, DDS, a member since 2008. She received her DDS degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in 2002 and her Pediatrics Certificate from the University of Texas Houston-Dental Branch in 2004. Dr. Foster’s pediatric practice is in Aurora.

Anil Idiculla, DMD, a member since 2007. He received his DMD degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2004 and his Orthodontics Certificate from University of Pennsylvania in 2006. Dr. Idiculla has orthodontic practices in Lone Tree, Downtown Denver and Edwards.

Candice DeLapp, DDS, a member since 1992. She received her DDS degree from the University of Colorado in 1992. Dr. DeLapp’s general practice is in Highlands Ranch.

Ian Paisley, DDS, a member since 2004. He received his DDS degree from the University of the Pacific in 2003. Dr. Paisley’s general practice is in Brighton.

Paul L. Glick, DDS, MS, a member since 1975. He received his DDS from the University of Illinois at Chicago and his Periodontics Certificate from University of Iowa. Dr. Glick’s periodontal practices are in Aurora and Littleton.

Sheldon Newman, DDS, MS, a member since 1986. He received his DDS degree from the University of Tennessee in 1976 and his MS in Materials Science Toxicology from the University of Tennessee in 1980. Dr. Newman is an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in Aurora.
