GCFLearnFree.org Seeks Curriculum Writer / Instructional Designer

GCFLearnFree.org seeks Curriculum Writer/Instructional Designer with experience in education, writing, social media, and graphic design.

Raleigh, NC, July 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- GCFLearnFree.org is looking for an additional writer to create quality, innovative educational content for their various online learning programs. The applicant will be responsible for using text, graphics, and interactive activities to develop a wide range of learning content, from career and computer training to math and adult literacy. The writer will join a small, creative team dedicated to producing the highest quality online learning content under the direction of the Instructional Content Coordinator.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

Instructional Design - develop and create instructional content using appropriate instructional design principles.
Writing/Editing - write, edit, and proofread instructional and website content.
Blogging/Social media - write and post content to their blog and other relevant social media outlets.
Creative Writing -- write content and scripts for instructional videos and simulations.
Interactivity - Use available software to produce interactive learning activities to accompany instructional content.
Graphics - create screenshots, images, and infographics to accompany learning content.

The writer must be able to work as part of a team. Additionally, the applicant must possess an exacting attention to detail and the ability to hold their work to extremely high standards.

Requirements

Four-year college degree in related field and at least two years of related experience. Experience with instructional and web writing. Blogging and creative writing experience a plus.
