Minnesota Sinfonia’s Magic of Music in St. Paul

St. Paul, MN, June 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Join the Minnesota Sinfonia in St. Paul for some light and fun favorites featuring the story of Peter and the Wolf at John A. Johnson Elementary School. While all Sinfonia concerts are open to children, their free-admission Children’s Concerts are particularly fitting. Families are invited to experience well-known classical music especially for children, and listen to the story of Peter and the Wolf narrated by local singer and actress Kathleen Hardy. This concert is sponsored by The McNeely Foundation.

The program will focus on how we use music to describe magical moments and a wide range of our emotions. Music will be taken from Harry Potter, Peter and the Wolf, and favorites from ragtime, marches, dances and more.

The concert will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 21 at John A. Johnson Elementary School at 740 York Ave, St. Paul, 55106. Admission as always is free. Audience members should arrive early—all concerts are first-come, first-seated.

Saint Paul’s newest neighborhood elementary school, John A. Johnson Achievement Plus Elementary School is located on the city’s East Side, and is part of the Achievement Plus public-private partnership. They are committed to every child reaching high academic standards and demonstrating social responsibility. For more information visit their website at http://jaj.spps.org/
