Minnesota Sinfonia Announces Free Summer Concert Schedule


Minneapolis, MN, June 10, 2011 --(PR.com)-- This summer, the Minnesota Sinfonia will offer two Summer Concert Series chamber orchestra performances at Lake Harriet Bandshell on June 24 and July 22. Also on the schedule in June and July are five family pops concerts and three children’s concerts in and around the metro area. New this summer, the Sinfonia will also offer a Music and Arts Festival in North Minneapolis sponsored by the Minnesota State Arts Board. All concerts are free to the public (first-come, first seated), and children are always welcome to attend.

Father's Day Family Pops Concert

­The Minnesota Sinfonia is a professional chamber orchestra whose mission is to serve the musical and educational needs of the citizens of Minnesota, especially families with children, inner-city youth, seniors and those with limited financial means. The Sinfonia plays concerts for over 25,000 people each year, and is the only professional orchestra of its kind, offering all concerts free of admission charges, welcoming children to every performance, and dedicating over half its services to inner-city schools.
