NLAPW Hosts Concert "Under a Southern Sky"

The National League of American Pen Women hosts concert - "Under a Southern Sky" featuring South American dances with William Feasley on guitar and Yeon Jee Sohn on oboe.

Washington, DC, June 11, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Well-known for their nation-wide creative arts activities, the National League of American Pen Women (NLAPW) hosts a concert "Under a Southern Sky" featuring South American dances with William Feasley on guitar and Yeon Jee Sohn on oboe. Held Saturday June 25, 2011 at The Pen Arts Building, 1300 17th Street NW, Washington, DC 20036-1973, the concert starts at 7 p.m.

Concert Details -

Described by the Washington Post as a “perfect partnership of sound,” the duo has performed widely at such venues as the National Cathedral, the Arts Centre in Christchurch, New Zealand and live on ABC Int’l Radio out of Sydney Australia. The program includes music for oboe and guitar by 19th century composers Napoleon Coste and Ferdinand Rebay along with compositions written for the duo by the Argentine composers Marcelo Ferraris and Tango Master Claudio Bruzzese, and the Brazilian composer Marcos Vinicius.
