Local Communications Veteran Recognized for Her Contributions to the Industry.

Boston, MA, June 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Bishoff Communications, a Boston-based leader in the public relations industry, announced today that its CEO Janey Bishoff received the 2011 John J. Molloy Crystal Bell Lifetime Achievement Award last night at the Publicity Club of New England’s Bell Ringer Awards. The Annual Award has recognized a select group of New England communications pioneers for the past 30 years.

Janey was honored for her significant contribution to the public relations profession over her more than two decades in the industry and her visionary communications leadership. This is the second year in a row that Bishoff received top honors from the Publicity Club. In 2010, the firm won the Platinum Super Bell Award for executing the “best communications campaign of the year,” presented for its crisis communications work on behalf of the Melrose YMCA.

“Janey Bishoff has been a leader and significant contributor to the public relations community for many years, both across the region and the country,” said Lauren Howe, President, Publicity Club of New England. “Her long-time dedication to the industry made her the ideal candidate for this year’s John J. Molloy Crystal Bell Lifetime Achievement Award, and we are proud to recognize her for this exceptional work.”

Janey is well known in the New England area as a passionate professional who assists her clients in growing their companies through a strategic communications program. Under her leadership, Bishoff Communications has launched some of the most successful public relations campaigns, crisis management programs and brand development programs for a wide range of clients including, McDonald’s, Boston Residential Group, Joslin Diabetes Center, Beacon Hospice, Shawmut Construction, The Boston History & Innovation Collaborative, and the MA Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

“Bishoff Communications’ long term relationship with McDonald’s is a true testament to Janey’s distinguished track record,” says Robin Boorstein, a McDonald’s owner/operator. She adds, “Janey and her firm have been the PR agency for the MAC Inc Co-op for more than 10 years. Working with her has allowed me to see first hand how passionate she and her team are about our business, how valuable her strategic vision is to us as a client, and how critical Bishoff Communications is to protecting our brand and supporting us through communications.”

Curtis Kemeny, CEO & President, Boston Residential Group, comments, “Janey’s public relations expertise was crucial in helping us to successfully enhance the BRG brand.”

An active member of the community, Janey has been deeply involved in a wide range of professional and community organizations, including the Boards of the Boston Museum, the Boston Ronald McDonald House, the New England Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the American Jewish Committee, the Light House Hospice Foundation, and the Friends of Copley Square.
