Vitex Announces Availability of Multi-SDI Extender Rack for Use with Opticis Fiber Optic SDI Extenders

Cranford, NJ, June 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Vitex LLC, a leading supplier of fiber optic components today announced that it will soon start shipping Opticis 19”1RU Multi-SDI extender mounting frame. This rack can be used with SDIX-100, fiber optic SDI extender and can accommodate up to 12 extenders. The SDIX-100 supports multi-rate SDI over one fiber. It can be used with either single or multi-mode fibers. The extender frame comes in two models, BR-300 and BR-310. Both use 100-240VAC, 50-60Hz of input power, BR-300 for primary power and BR-310 for dual power with load-sharing and redundant backup to run the system without power disruptions. These mounting frames are an ideal solution for modular fiber-optic needs and can hold up to 12 units of 3G-SDI extenders securely in place. Each module slot is connected to a central power bus. Status LEDs for power are provided on the front panel. BR-300 and 310 use ST fiber connected on the front and SDI BNC connectors on the rear end.
