Central Texas Young Republicans to Host First Texas Red Conference 2011
"Cultivating the Grassroots of the GOP for Our Generation"
Round Rock, TX, June 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Central Texas Young Republicans have assembled a full day of training designed to prepare GOP grassroots activists, from the experienced to the newbies, for the 2012 campaign cycle and Republican convention process. Texas Red Conference 2011 is scheduled for June 18th, 2011 at the Williamson County J.B and Hallie Jester Annex in Round Rock.
Red Conference presenters include Hal Talton, State Republican Executive Committeeman, SD5, Don Zimmerman, State Republican Executive Committeeman, SD14, Robert X. Johnson, fmr. State Parliamentarian for RPT, James Bernsen, Republican Consultant, Don Tracy, Cedar Park City Council, Mitch Fuller, Cedar Park City Council, and Shannon and Justin Flores, the husband and wife owners of reboot campaigns.
"When we started CenTex YR over a year ago, we identified the campaign cycle and the convention process as the two major elements of partisan activism where better training means better retention," says presenter and CenTex YR Vice Chair of Communications Justin Flores. "Too often new activists become disenfranchised with the political process and quit participating due to the shock of finding out just how confusing or unfair a lot of it seems. This isn't TV politics. We're teaching our people how to get in and be heard without being squashed by the establishment pros."
Throughout the day as with all CenTex YR events, camaraderie is the theme that brings together Republican activists from across the spectrum. The all-day event will conclude with attendees enjoying a baseball game and concert by country music star Jack Ingram taking place just down the road at the Dell Diamond.
