Podcast to Explore: Failover in the Cloud

The Cloud Services Roundtable welcomes Grant Thompson, founding partner of a leading cloud services company, to discuss their next-generation disaster recovery solution.

Sacramento, CA, June 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- IT Author and Consultant Karl Palachuk will be joined in his bi-monthly Cloud Services Roundtable Podcast by Grant Thompson, founding partner of the MG Technology Group. Grant will outline how their Failover in the Cloud service offering has a unique point of difference than what is currently on the market for Managed Service Providers (MSP) and Value Added Resellers. MG Tech boasts that their solution can see a client with a destroyed local server restored within four hours by way of backing up individual machine impressions.

Karl and Grant will also explore the issues that lead to cloud outages and provider reliability in light of recent major player outages by Amazon and Microsoft Exchange. Grant will address how providers should communicate with clients during outages and how to minimize the risks. As well, Grant will advise on how to correctly bill clients during such outages, an area he identifies as costing MSPs dearly as they do not plan properly for this in their business model.

Karl Palachuk welcomes the opportunity to share Grant Thompson's experience with his audience. Grant presented on this topic earlier this month at the SMB Nation Conference in Toronto, Canada. The Podcast will air July 6, 9AM Pacific. Registration is free and participation is encouraged.
