Shade Systems Completes Major Airport Parking Shade Project

Shade Systems is proud to announce it has completed on time and on budget its project to design, manufacture, and install the parking lot shade covers for the brand new Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport near Panama City in the Florida panhandle.

Panama City, FL, June 28, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Shade Systems is proud to announce it has completed on time and on budget its project to design, manufacture, and install the parking lot shade covers for the brand new Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport near Panama City in the Florida panhandle.

The St. Joe Company, a publicly traded company engaged in land development with approximately 580,000 acres in northwest Florida, is the owner of the land for the airport, which will serve such major carriers as Southwest and Delta Airlines. HWA Parking, a planning and design firm with offices in Austin and Houston, was responsible for the design and development of the parking facility, and selected Shade Systems for the critical shading portion of the project.

Considerations for the selection of Shade Systems included its patented Turn-N-SlideTM easy canopy removal and reattachment system which makes it easy to take down the canopies quickly in the event of a gulf coast hurricane. Likewise, it was important to the selection committee that Shade Systems has a long and successful track record for implementing similar large-scale shading projects nationwide, and that its product warranties are the most comprehensive in the industry.

The Shade Systems canopies are designed to cover 100% of the parking area, including the ticket booth which is covered with an additional waterproof canopy, for a total of approximately 115,000 square feet of shade coverage. The shade structures were also equipped by Shade Systems with electrical access boxes for lighting.
