Raleigh, NC, July 01, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- Paul Holmes, managing partner for the Raleigh office of New York Life Insurance Company (http://www.newyorklife.com), has announced that the Raleigh office is the title sponsor for the Second Annual Comfort Zone Camp for Kids Charity Golf Classic, scheduled to take place on Monday, Sept. 19 at Brier Creek Country Club, with registration beginning at 10:30 a.m. All proceeds from the event will benefit North Carolina’s Comfort Zone Camp, a bereavement camp that transforms the lives of children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling or primary caregiver. Because camps and online resources are offered at no charge, Comfort Zone is 100 percent funded by contributions. It costs $500 to send a child to camp, but a donation of any kind will make an enormous impact on a grieving child’s life. Any individuals interested in giving to Comfort Zone Camp can donate through http://www.comfortzonecamp.com or call the Event Coordinator at (919) 946-1542.
“Sponsoring this Golf Classic is a great way to support CZC which provides a safe, healing environment for kids who have lost a parent or other loved one,” said Paul Holmes, managing partner for the Raleigh office of New York Life, sponsor of the Golf Classic. “We appreciate the efforts of everyone involved in organizing this special day.”
- The New York Life Foundation has awarded more than $3,000,000 to Comfort Zone Camp to extend the reach of the organization’s services and help raise the issue of grieving children to a national concern.
- Sponsorships for the golf tournament are available from $100 to $5,000.
- Entrance is $200 per individual or $750 per foursome.
- Lunch will be provided followed by a dinner reception at 6:30 p.m.
