Sunreef Yachts Announces Two Premiere Catamaran-Yachts at the Cannes Intl Boat Show 2011

As every year, Sunreef Yachts will exhibit its finest yachts at the Cannes International Boat Show. As a Worldwide Premiere the shipyard will display Sunreef 58 IN THE WIND, new sailing catamaran model launched in May 2011 and Sunreef 114 CHE, the biggest sloop-rigged catamaran in the world and the biggest Sunreef yacht ever built. She is going to be the largest catamaran on the show.

Gdansk, Poland, July 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Launched in May 2011, IN THE WIND is the first unit of the new sail catamaran Sunreef 58, custom-built for a US-based customer. The yacht is the successor of the popular Sunreef 62 model that has been sold in 35 units. Sunreef Yachts currently has three new contracts for this model in its order book.

The Sunreef 58 is a response to the many enquiries they get from customers who appreciate Sunreef’s construction quality, customized luxury finishing and sailing performance but who want to sail in smaller and lighter boats without crew. It is also a good unit for charter thanks to the possibility of accommodating a crew cabin. The price range will consequently be lower than that of the regular Sunreef 60-feet-plus range and will start at 850,000 euro/base.

IN THE WIND was built with the vacuum infusion technology and light-weight composite materials used for example in aviation and aeronautics industry. The hull and superstructure were designed with focus on stylish, streamlined profile. The sea hulls use natural wave power for achieving fast speed. With the mast located on the sun deck, the superstructure (living-room) is very spacious and ensures panoramic views of the sea. By night, halogen LEDs and underwater lights illuminate the mast and the hulls. In the sun deck, there is also the main helm as well as a dining room with comfortable sitting areas and sunbathing mattresses. It is surely the most pleasant place on the yacht for observation of the sea and having delicious meals with family or friends. Soft light of candles will not disturb in watching stars in the night sky. This is also from where the captain performs sail maneuvers.

The living space includes an exclusive owner’s suite, 3 guest cabins and 2 crew cabins in the hulls. The owner’s cabin is located in the right hull and is furnished with a king-size bed, desk, private bathroom, special storage for a keyboard, TV and DVD equipment. There is also plenty of space for storage of personal belongings and luggage. Two other guest cabins are equipped with double bed, private bathroom with shower and generous storage. The third guest cabin is equipped with bunk-beds – a perfect solution for kids. Six wide portlights integrated in hulls allow plenty of sun light into the guest cabins. The main deck houses a kitchen with complete equipment, living/dining-room and internal helm station with navigation, communication and automatic pilot equipment. The 40-inch LCD TV, DVD and Dolby Surround sound system in the living-room are connected also to speakers in the cockpit and on the sun deck. The total living space of the interior is 62 m2 (667 sq ft). The external cockpit is equipped with comfortable sofas, sunbathing mattresses, dining table, armchairs and storage compartments for water toys. The fact that the cockpit and the living-room are located on the same level and connected with sliding doors enhances the impression of space. The cockpit is on one flush level.

The superyacht Sunreef 114 CHE is the largest sloop-rigged catamaran in the world and the second largest sailing multihull in the world.

CHE is a private yacht for a limited number of passengers: 7 guests and 4-5 crew members can comfortably be accommodated in the spacious and bright cabins while sailing across the world. The yacht is available for exclusive private charters via the central agency, Sunreef Yachts Charter.

CHE is a high performance superyacht able to reach 20 knots maximum speed thanks to its streamlined contours, thin and sleek hulls and aerodynamic, flat forms, which all together make the entire cruise smoother. Thanks to its long and deep keel and low free board, the vessel can catch good wind and easily increase speed. Another feature contributing to the optimal speed factor are the impressive sail surface made of D4 material. The yacht is fitted with the most advanced technology such as bow thrusters to facilitate all maneuverings and mooring and the best navigation and communication system for large units.

Also, the shipyard will exhibit the new 70 Sunreef Power DAMRAK II, the first Sunreef yacht entirely equipped with LED lights which means less energy consumption, less heat and more light.

Launched in May 2011, DAMRAK II is an upgraded version of DAMRAK launched in 2009 and owned by a French client. The yacht is the sixth unit of the popular 70 Sunreef Power model offered since 2008.

With its generous equipment that includes: Jacuzzi on the sun deck, a jet ski with a purpose-built crane, Seabob for discovering underwater treasures, scuba diving equipment, swim platforms with ladders, complete LED TV in saloon and all cabins and audio equipment with Bose Lifestyle sound system, beautiful owner’s suite with a spacious bathroom and luxury guest cabins finished in genuine Canaletto walnut wood and cream Alcantara, DAMRAK II is an ideal yacht for holiday and charter cruises.
