Jamestown, NY, July 04, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Lights and lace, floral and flutter is the tag line for the new gift shoppe that has opened in Bemus Point, NY.

Exquisite Things Gift Shoppe, 4957 Main Street, Bemus Point, NY is the brick and mortar store of Shades ETC that has been opened by Cindy Robison. ETC stands for Exquisites Things from Cindy. The shoppe opened June 4, 2011 in the tourist town of Bemus Point. A grand opening was celebrated on Saturday, June 25 with a business dedication lead by Pastor Clarke of Healing Word Ministries in Jamestown, NY. Cookies and lemonade were enjoyed by shoppers throughout the day. Mrs. Robison has been making lampshades since 2005 and selling custom-made lamps with her handmade lampshades at craft shows until realizing that what she really wanted to do was have a gift shoppe to sell her products at as well as helping out other local crafters by giving them a place to sell their products which match her store's theme of lights and lace, floral and flutter. "I've been dreaming about this for the last three years and it has finally come together. This is a God-given dream and it's because of Him that I'm sitting here in my shoppe." Besides recovering old lampshades and making new shades, the shoppe includes items from local artisans. "The shop is full of what I think is beautiful. I hope that others will see the beauty and want to bring some home with them." Mrs. Robison said there is a market for customers who want items that are feminine and frilly and maybe consider New Victorian in style. "I've received a lot of help from my husband, consignment vendors, and my friend, Michelle Paterniti of The Cosy Shack on Route 394.” One of the vendors is her husband, Keith, who makes pens from exotic woods.

The Shoppe hosts Veranda Socials every Saturday from 4-5pm. Local artisans are available to talk about their products and what inspires them. Free lemonade and cookies are served.
