About the author:

Ms. Achala Kshirsagar obtained the B. Lib. Degree in Library Science from the Nagpur University in India and came to U.S.A. in 1968 and has been living there since then. She got her M.S. degree in Library Science from the Sam Houston University, Texas in 1974 and then got her A.M.L.S. degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1978. Since then she has worked at U.M.I. (a division of the Xerox company), the University of Michigan and lastly retired from the Warner Lambert/Parke-Davis, now a Pfizer pharmaceutical company.

She holds a degree (Sangeet Visharad) in Indian Classical Music also and stood first in the all-India examinations and was awarded the Gold Medal for that. Music, interior decoration and dramatic acting are her other hobbies. She also has a passion and love for cooking. She has acquired quite a reputation for her innovative and delicious dishes for which she is well known in India and America.
