Berthoud, CO, July 07, 2011 --( Fast-growing EnergyLogic, Inc. is among the first in its industry to expand home energy training and rating services to China.

EnergyLogic is a leading U.S. provider of home energy efficiency services, consulting, training, and software services. Since 2006, the firm has completed more than 10,000 home energy audits, trained more than 400 energy raters and auditors across the United States and developed two software tools. EnergyLogic is quickly expanding to serve a dramatic increase in U.S. government programs aimed at improving energy efficiency in residential homes, commercial buildings and public institutions.

The firm is now meeting a growing demand in China for training and rating services to encourage energy efficient construction. In July and August, EnergyLogic will conduct a first-of-its kind training for students in Shanghai on the LEED® for Homes Green Rater protocols and RESNET Home Energy Rater standards.

EnergyLogic has also been selected as the LEED® for Homes contractor for a nine-unit luxury home development in Beijing. LEED® for Homes, a program of the United States Green Building Council, is the premier green building program in the United States. Its international expansion is a major milestone.

Homes that meet the LEED® for Homes criteria demonstrate compliance with the highest standards of green building. EnergyLogic will extensively test and verify that the Beijing homes meet strict program criteria. This project will entail multiple site visits to Beijing along with collaboration with the design and construction teams.

"We've long been scanning the horizon for international opportunities for energy ratings and associated work,” said Steve Byers, CEO of EnergyLogic. “LEED® for Homes opening of the International Pilot program has given us a great opportunity to use or depth and breadth of knowledge to work with other markets in developing these systems. We're particularly excited by the potential for exchanging information with sustainability professionals in other countries. Our organization has grown in capacity and capability to a point that allows us to not only meet demand, but actively work to grow our International Services Division as these markets develop."

In June, EnergyLogic was named one of 149 “Colorado Companies to Watch” by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade. It was also recognized as the fourth fastest-growing firm in Larimer and Weld Counties by the Northern Colorado Business Report in their annual Mercury 100 Report. Revenue increased 142 percent from 2009 to 2010. The firm has 80 employees, up from 20 employees in 2008.
