Photographer and mixed-media artist Adrienne Moumin will be hosting a Grand Opening of Picturexhibit Studio Gallery on Sunday May 20, 2007, from 1:30 to 4:30PM. The gallery, located at 2807 Byron Street, Silver Spring, MD 20902, showcases Moumin’s handmade, limited edition silver gelatin prints and mixed media photo collages. Silver Spring, MD, March 24, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Adrienne Moumin will be hosting a Grand Opening of Picturexhibit Studio Gallery on Sunday May 20, 2007, from 1:30 to 4:30PM. More than 60 works of art will be for sale, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Montgomery Hospice, of Rockville, MD. 

Picturexhibit Studio Gallery features Moumin’s handmade, limited edition silver gelatin prints and mixed media photo collages, and is located at 2807 Byron Street, Silver Spring, MD 20902, and at http://www.picturexhibit.com/. 

Adrienne Moumin produces her black and white photographs in a traditional wet darkroom. Her work consists largely of urban landscapes, as well as store window mannequin displays and images of nature. Every print is individually handmade, and is processed according to strict archival standards. 

Her unique photo collages are reconstructions of her disassembled photographs, and some are accented with crystals, paper illustrations, and other ephemera. Moumin will also be exhibiting a recent series of photograms. 

About Adrienne Moumin: 

Adrienne Moumin has exhibited her work in New York, and nationwide, for over ten years. Her images have been featured in New York Gallery Guide, About.com, and The Sun Magazine.  Moumin was a 2003 recipient of a Puffin Foundation Grant, and she and her work appeared in Riding the Third Wave: Feminist Voices and Expressions, a documentary film by Nicole Wines/Agora Video Productions.   Moumin has been interviewed for WBAI Radio in New York, and served as Editorial Consultant for a technical photo manual written by David Fokos.
