1st Annual Colorado Photography Festival Coming to Denver

The 1st Annual Colorado Photography Festival will be held from August 13-15, 2011. Never before has an event of this kind been held in Denver!

Denver, CO, July 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Six of the nation’s leading nature photographers will be coming to Denver to teach their craft at the 1st Annual Colorado Photography Festival. This festival will take place at the Auraria Campus from August 13-15, 2011 and is open to photographers of all skill levels.

“I’ve been thinking of holding this festival for several years,” says Grant Collier, the event's organizer. “Colorado has some of the most avid photographers in the nation, and it has millions of acres of awe-inspiring scenery. Since no festival of this kind has ever been held in Denver, I felt that it was time to plan one.”

Grant is the author of seven photography books on Colorado, including Colorado: Yesterday & Today and Colorado's National Parks & Monuments. During the festival, he will teach participants how to capture landscape photographs at night.

Joining Grant as an instructor is Nat Coalson, who is the author of the books Lightroom 3 and Nature Photography Photo Workshop. Nat will lead a workshop on abstract nature photography and will also teach a seminar on Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

Rounding out the list of instructors are Glenn Randall, Dan Ballard, Andy Long, and Steve Sieren. These instructors have a combined 100 years of experience working as professional photographers and 50 years of experience teaching photography workshops.

All participants at the festival can attend the symposium on Saturday, which will feature presentations from each of the instructors. On Sunday, students can join one of six workshops held at scenic locations near Denver, including Mount Evans, Red Rocks, Roxborough State Park, and Garden of the Gods.
