Dakota Dental Demonstrates Success of High School Mentor Program

Apple Valley, MN, July 16, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Dakota Dental Apple Valley Family Dentistry is serving as an excellent model of a successful high school mentor program.

While a student at Apple Valley High School, Dakota Dental’s dentist, Bennett Isabella, participated in AVHS’s professional mentorship program. Having been interested in dentistry from a very young age, he was selected for a mentor opportunity with Dr. Shelley Wakefield at Dakota Dental Apple Valley Family Dentistry.

Reflecting a truly successful professional mentor relationship, Dr. Isabella now practices dentistry alongside his mentor, Dr. Wakefield at their Apple Valley dental clinic. Interestingly, their Dakota Dental Clinic happens to be located just blocks from Apple Valley High School where their connection was made through the school’s mentor program.

Both Dr. Wakefield and Dr. Isabella continue to invest in the Apple Valley community and in the lives of students by carrying on with the mentor program by welcoming, guiding and mentoring new students. Their Dakota Dental Clinic also donates dental services to the Give Kids A Smile program and they speak to schools, parenting and church groups and other organizations promoting good oral health and wellness.
