How to Use Competitive Intelligence: Complimentary Webinar at Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP) Colorado Chapter Meeting July 19

Brian Reuter of ORC International provides insight into how to use competitive intelligence at the SCIP Colorado Chapter meeting on Tuesday, July 19, from 4:30-5:30 pm at Ballard Spahr LLP in Denver.

Denver, CO, July 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- This session focuses on how to successfully use competitive intelligence to improve business performance and help gather the insight needed to best position companies to compete in the long term. This is complimentary e-learning webinar is exclusive to onsite attendees. It provides the opportunity to interact with the featured speaker in a moderated on-line environment, and to network in-person with other attendees.

Among the issues discussed will be how to choose the right research technique, including the use of primary, secondary, syndicated and quantitative research. Brian will also cover how to identify the advantages and disadvantages of using one method over another and how to implement best practices and avoid pitfalls when conducting competitive intelligence. He will also offer suggestions on how to maximize competitive intelligence efforts under budget constraints.

For the past 15+ years Brian Reuter has been employed at ORC International performing and managing client research. Starting as a Research Analyst, Brian’s career includes: Project Manager; Research Director; Director, Litigation Support Service; Vice President, Client Services; and currently Managing Director of ORC International’s Technology vertical business unit. As Managing Director, Brian leads a team that effectively leverages experts and external information sources to arm clients with intelligence to make fact based decisions on new product concepts, new market opportunities, competitors and technologies.
