The Medal Play Golf Tour Legend Trail Results

Scottsdale, AZ, July 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Medal Play Golf Tour visited Legend Trail in Scottsdale on Saturday. “Legend Trail is a classic desert course,” commented tour director Blane Freytag. “The players did well today, scores were very good.”

The Championship Division saw Dennis Kindred break through for his first win on tour, but it wasn’t easy. Larry Stutheit, Ron Johnson and Joe White were only a shot back. Kindred birdied #15, then held on over the final holes for the victory.

Newcomer Walt Camping and tour veteran Tim Lutz needed a scorecard playoff to determine the championship with Camping coming out on top with a par on the second playoff hole. John Saager and Chuck Campbell tied for 3rd in a hotly contested battle.

Al Mayhew broke through for his first win over Matt Horner to break Horner’s win streak in the Silver Division. Bob Hickman took 3rd.

In the World Golfers Championship Qualifier we had Walt Camping qualify for the National Finals out of a field of two. Congratulations as Camping moves on to Nationals in San Antonio, TX in late September.

The tour returns to action at McCormick Ranch (Pines) on Sunday August 21st.
