NC Junior Golf Tour to Host NC State University Wolfpack Junior Championship September 3-4, 2011

The North Carolina Junior Golf Foundation has announced that the Lonnie Poole Golf Course at North Carolina State University is the host course for the 2011 NCSU Wolfpack Junior Golf Championship over Labor Day Weekend. The junior golf tournaments is open to all junior golfers regardless of residency.

Raleigh, NC, July 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The North Carolina Junior Golf Foundation will hold the Wolfpack Labor Day Junior Championship at North Carolina State University's Lonnie Poole Golf Course on Septmber 3-4, 2011.

The Arnold Palmer Signature Design golf course on NC State University's campus is ranked among the top university golf courses in the country. It is home to the NC State University men and women's golf teams, the country's leading turf management programs and a top PGA Professional Golf Management program. "The Lonnie Poole Golf course is the perfect venue to test highly skilled junior golfers in a nationally-ranked event North Carolina Junior Golf Foundation Championship," stated Bob Gerard, one of the NCJGF's Board members.

The North Carolina Junior Golf Foundation is a volunteer, non-profit organization that emphasizes affordability, quality and integrity. There are no membership fees and tournament entry fees are set to cover costs associated with hosting each event. Tournaments are held at university campus golf courses and other top venues within North Carolina.The Foundation holds several non-profit and charitable junior golf tournaments each year, typically one event every 3-4 weeks during the school year, from August-May.
