HIU Collaborates with Johnson University on Ph.D. in Leadership Studies

Fullerton, CA, July 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- On behalf of the Center for Global Studies (CGS), which consists of eight graduate institutions including Hope International University (HIU), Johnson University will offer a new Ph.D. in Leadership Studies. Though other Christian Church colleges and universities offer doctorates such as the D. Min., this will be the first Ph.D. to be offered. Other members of the CGS include Cincinnati Christian University, Emmanuel Christian Seminary, Kentucky Christian University, Lincoln Christian University, Milligan College, and TCM International.

Members of the HIU faculty will also be teaching some of the doctoral classes. The program consists of 60 total units, and is offered completely online in seven-week sessions, with students broken into small cohorts of 12-15. Students will take courses in leadership, research, and ethics as well as electives in one of three concentrations: Educational Leadership, Organizational Leadership, or Theology of Leadership. The program finishes with a proposal and dissertation.
