Castlewood Group Confirm Budget Airlines Are in High Demand in Thailand Coinciding with the Launch of Their New 8over8 Hotel in Phuket

Plans for a new low cost airline operating from Thailand are underway. Thai airways are preparing to launch "Thai Wings" from March to April 2012 in an attempt to capture a share of the budget travel market. Castlewood Group hopes to benefit from the increase in the number of tourists flying to Thailand when their new 8over8 Hotel is launched close to the idyllic Laguna Beach resort in Phuket.

Singapore, Singapore, July 25, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Low-cost airlines are in high demand in Thailand. Thai Tiger, budget airline which is a part of Tiger Airways and Thai Airways, are negotiating the launch of their new airline. Castlewood Group, the Singapore based real estate Company is building a new luxury hotel in Bang Tao Beach, Phuket.

Thai Airways are preparing to launch a new low-cost airline as well, Thai Wings, to combat the rising demand of flights within Thailand and Asia. The airline has not finalized the routes as of yet, but are planning to launch their flights March to April 2012.

The aim is to win back some of the passengers from budget and low cost airlines as part of a new 12 year business plan and they will operate mainly domestic flights. Some short regional flights with flight times of around two to three hours will also be scheduled, for example flights from Singapore, Macau and Hong Kong.

The plans do not affect Thai Airways current operation which will remain a premium airline however Thai Wings will be marketed as a low cost airline with 99% of seats being economy class, offering no first or business class. Thai airways will need 11 aircrafts to operate this new fleet of budget airline and have suggested they will opt for the narrow-body A320 Airbus jets as opposed to the similar Boeing 737-800.

“Budget airlines and low-cost airlines, which are marketing now to the middle and low income workers worldwide, are making high end airlines their competitors,” commented Madeline Beale, Marketing Executive of Castlewood Group. “With more budget airlines heading to Phuket from India, China, Australia and Thailand itself, we will see a growth in the tourism rates projected for next year.”

The 8over8 hotel, a project by Singapore property developer, Castlewood Group, will be based in Phuket, near to the Laguna Resort and Bang Tao Beach and is due for completion at the end of 2012.

The 8over8 Hotel, when complete will consist of 200 luxury suites with a private rooftop penthouses for special occasions. This concept of Commercial Real Estate for the masses is an exciting and profitable investment.
