)-- The Jenkins MBA program in the NC State Poole College of Management (http://mgt.ncsu.edu/mba/) has announced that first-year student Balaji Soundararajan was selected for a summer internship program with NetApp, a company that creates and delivers innovative storage and data management solutions. The internship will take place at NetApp’s Research Triangle Park campus. With a strong focus on marketing and technology, Soundararajan will assist NetApp in delivering a standardized solution for its documentation and wiki information across multiple IT engineering departments. Since portability is a primary requirement for this project, the ultimate goal is to deliver the solution in a thumb drive. “Balaji Soundararajan has worked hard to secure his internship with NetApp,” said Steve Allen, associate dean for graduate programs and research in the NC State Poole College of Management. “We are proud of his accomplishments, and look forward to hearing about his experiences and all that he has learned at the end of the internship.”
“I value NetApp’s commitment to sustaining a strong corporate culture. Their reputation as both a technology leader and a great place to work were important factors in my decision to apply for the internship,” said Soundararajan. “My goal for the internship is finding ways to gather, analyze and prioritize information, as well as learning how to best manage the application within the size of a thumb drive, which is sure to be an educational challenge.”
