)-- Jazzmine Farol’s petite size belies the singer/songwriter’s big voice and with her incredible talent she is making some noise in the music world. Jazzmine is poised to impact the music industry and new fans with her original debut single “Name On My Shoe.”
As a regular contributor on YouTube, Jazzmine posted songs from street performances, with friends, and at events. She often created videos emphasizing her passion for performance and making her fans smile. As visits increased to her YouTube postings, YouTube took notice and so did GiG Productions, her current management company.
Jazzmine sings from the heart about life and love with a clear pop vocal style will uplift and captivate the listener. Produced by renowned composer Tess Escoto, “Name On My Shoe” is a genre-crossing song about first love. The single will be released August 5, 2011 and features Billboard top 10 artist Gregory Brock on guitars. Tess Escoto, who also provides piano/keys and bass, produced the song, composed by Jazzmine.
Although Jazzmine is an emerging singer, she is no stranger to the spotlight. As a recent high school graduate with an incredible 4.2 GPA, she was choir member as well as the lead in many musicals; this singer/songwriter/actress has portrayed everyone from Princess Jasmine to Frenchie in the stage version of Grease.
From music to stage, performing for her fans is at the core of Jazzmine’s music. She began singing professionally at seven, winning audiences over with her voice and charm. She was often asked to perform at local and government events, often bringing the crowd to their feet with her rendition of “Oh Darling.” As her career blossomed, so did the richness of her voice and the strength of her stage presence.
“That was such a pure time in my life,” Jazzmine recalls with a smile. “Performing brought me so much joy and inspired so many people without me even knowing it at the time.”
Born in the Philippines, the San Diego teen is a shining star in the entertainment industry on the west coast, but needed a team to get her music heard beyond her hometown. She teamed up with GiG Productions personnel, who mentored her and oversaw her current project.
Jazzmine’s versatility as well as her love for writing and true musicianship is shown in her début song “Name On My Shoe.”
“When people listen to ‘Name On My Shoe,’ I want them to smile and hopefully relate to the song. she says. “I was inspired to write this song while reflecting on my own life and how love happens.”
