Victor, NY, July 29, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- Retrotech, Inc., a specialist in the modernization and optimization of automated material handling equipment has created a new website designed to educate end users on the benefits of modernizing automated storage and retrieval systems.
Many systems across the globe, in use for 15-20 years, are being asked to do things they were not originally designed to do; such as handling larger, heavier pallets or moving a higher volume of pallets/cases. Distribution centers are being asked by customers to meet specific delivery windows and create custom pallets to fulfill orders comprised of multiple SKU’s. In addition, recent legislation requires food manufacturers to provide enhanced traceability which adds a new layer of complexity to these older systems.
ASRSmodernizations.com offers a wealth of information regarding the tools, methods and best practices used to determine what should be repaired or replaced, how to align improvements with the company goals and objectives, and how to go about developing and executing a project plan.
The site uses a mix of video case studies, written case studies and video interviews with Retrotech® personnel to clearly communicate the benefits and value of modernizing these aging systems. Additional resources are currently under development and will be added to the site as they are completed.
