Genji Sushi Announces Support of Adopt-A-Classroom During August

Portion of Sales to be Donated as Part of “Special Roll for a Special Cause” Promotion

Philadelphia, PA, August 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Genji Sushi, purveyor of all-natural sushi and Japanese cuisine at 137 Whole Foods Markets on the East Coast and in San Francisco, is pleased to announce that Adopt-A-Classroom will be the recipient of funds raised during Genji’s “Special Roll for a Special Cause” promotion in August. This is the second time Adopt-A-Classroom has been a designated recipient of Genji’s donation, having been also named a “Special Cause of the Month” in 2010.

Adopt-A-Classroom is a non-profit organization that increases opportunity for student success by providing teachers with community partners and funds in order to purchase resources for the classroom.

“We are excited to be partnering again with Adopt-A-Classroom, a leading national non-profit whose important initiatives support our teachers and schools,” said Ken Blakeman, Director of Marketing, Genji, Inc. “By partnering donors with educators, Adopt-A-Classroom ensures that teachers will have the essential classroom resources needed for a successful school year. We are proud to continue to support them in their mission.”

“Special Roll for a Special Cause” is a fundraiser developed by Genji in which 5% of the sales of a specially-marked roll during a given period are donated to an organization whose mission aligns with Genji’s business and philanthropic philosophy. From August 1st to August 28th, five percent of all sales from Genji’s “Vegetable Dragon Roll” will be donated to Adopt-A-Classroom.

The “Special Roll for a Special Cause” promotion was created in 2010 as part of Genji’s mission to find creative ways to support charitable causes. Since its inception, Genji has donated more than $54,000 to non-profit organizations across the United States.
