Pittsburgh, PA, August 04, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- The Hilltop Economic Development Corporation (HEDC) is hosting its annual Cruisin’ on the Hilltop event on August 6th from 12:00-6:00 P.M., along Brownsville Road from Arlington Avenue to the Clock Tower. This event features a live band, the display of classic cars, retail vendors, a flea market and educational and arts and crafts activities for youth. The event will kick off with a Community Awards Ceremony at the Clock Tower at noon, where a local youth, investors and volunteers in the community will be recognized.
For the first time, this event will feature PNC’s Mobile Learning Adventure, where pre-school age children can start planning their futures through activities such as the “What Do I Want to be When I Grow Up” photo station. This station will allow youngsters to dress up in costumes that depict their future careers and have their pictures taken.
Cruisin’ on the Hilltop is an event that is organized by the HEDC to bring the residents in Mt. Oliver and the adjacent Hilltop neighborhoods together in a family friendly event. HEDC Board President, Ruthann L. Omer, P.E., says “This is a wonderful event for residents and visitors to come out to the Hilltop, enjoy a fun day of festivities and enjoy a positive day in the community. We are hoping for a great turnout!”
