)-- Today marks the launch of the MyAccount section for the Mikogo websites, providing the software’s registered users with important online meeting data along with greater user control and awareness. By logging into Mikogo’s new MyAccount, users will gain access to a detailed list of their past desktop sharing sessions referred to as “Session Statistics,” presenting them with a record of session ID, session duration and the names of both the organizer and participants.
Mikogo is used on a daily basis by companies for online meetings, web presentations, sales demos, remote support and more. Allowing users to keep track of all their past sessions will provide companies with valuable information regarding how often and how much time they spend collaborating online with clients.
The new MyAccount pages are available on all of the software tool’s eight websites, which means users can access their MyAccount pages and their session statistics in eight different languages: English, German, Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian and Russian. This recent effort by Mikogo to cater for its expanding user base comes just a couple of weeks after the official release of its new Version 4 software which is available in over 30 languages at present, demonstrating Mikogo’s position as a widely-used and international tool for online collaboration.
“Our software is currently used in over 180 countries and so it was important that we could provide our new MyAccount section in the eight languages of our websites and continue to meet the needs of our growing user base,” explains Mark Zondler, Co-Creator of Mikogo.
While session statistics will be the main initial benefit for the users, Mikogo’s MyAccount also enhances user control with the introduction of a “Change Password” area, allowing users to select their own custom password. Furthermore, the release of MyAccount opens the doors for even greater user control.
“By launching MyAccount, we can use this platform to add even greater customization options,” continues Zondler. “One such example will be to offer users a way that they can adjust the appearance of their Mikogo software by adding their company logo into the interface. On top of this, there are other areas within the software and a Mikogo session that can potentially be personalized by the user. Such customization possibilities are what we plan to release next for MyAccount.”
