Bakermewting SEO Challenge Announced - Students Versus Pro

The goal of the challenge is to teach the students how to effectively promote a company using web based media, which includes a website, press releases, news articles, adwords, link building and other techniques geared to generating successful search engine results on major search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo.

Drew Dekker, VP & COO of NetGain SEO, teaches a web marketing course at the College and is having his students compete in an SEO Challenge.

The goal of the challenge is to teach the students how to effectively promote a company using web based media, which includes a website, press releases, news articles, adwords, link building and other techniques geared to generating successful search engine results on major search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo.

The keyword that the students are trying to achieve search engine top spot results for is “bakermewting”, which is an anagram of the term ‘web marketing’. The student who achieves top spot in the bakermewting seo challenge earns themselves a 10% bonus on his or her grade. There is a catch though, Nathan Allen, an employee of NetGain SEO is taking part in the challenge and playing the role of the experienced SEO professional. If a student is able to achieve a higher SEO ranking than Nathan that student will be rewarded with a $30.00 prize.
