Military Writers Society of America Announces the Nomination of "Truman and MacArthur, Adversaries for a Common Cause" as a Finalist for the Korean War Book Award

East Northport, NY, August 09, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Military Writers Society of America together with the Center for the Study of the Korean War has announced that "Truman and MacArthur, Adversaries for a Common Cause" by Donald J. Farinacci (Merriam Press, 2010) has been named as one of the six finalists nationally for The Korean War Book Award. The book previously was the recipient of the MWSA Silver Star Award for 2010 in the history genre.

The Korean War Book Award, open to all authors who have written a book about the Korean War, whether fiction or non-fiction, was designed to raise awareness of the conflict known as the "Forgotten War." The award presentation will be held in Pittsburgh at the Airport Marriot Hotel on October 1, 2011.
