PublishAmerica Presents Secret Kitchen: An Argentine Cooking Book

Frederick, MD, March 31, 2007 --(PR.com)-- PublishAmerica is proud to present Secret Kitchen: An Argentine Cooking Book by Tammy Creo. The recipes contained in this book include typical home-style dishes, as well as some of the most exquisite recipes found at the finest restaurants in Buenos Aires. While Argentina’s meat dishes are most popular and probably the most familiar to tourists in Buenos Aires, there is a wide range of delicious recipes served in Argentine households that are completely unfamiliar, yet delectable.

Tammy Creo was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on January 21, 1951. Delicious food played a significant role in her childhood. Like many traditional Argentinean families, her family would hold large family reunions for Christmas, New Year’s, and many other special occasions. It was customary to cook the best family recipes at the reunions. Some of the recipes Creo’s mother prepared were learned from her grandmothers, including her mother-in-law, who was Spanish and therefore made classic Spanish dishes. These Spanish dishes mixed beautifully with those from her own mother, who combined recipes from France with the most typical regional country meals from Argentina.

Creo moved to the United States in 1982. It was a number of years later that she started to recognize the importance of family meals, good food, and the joy of preparing the different recipes that she learned from childhood. In recent years she started focusing her cooking on traditional Argentinean recipes. Creo discovered that she not only has a passion for cooking, but an extensive knowledge of traditional Argentinean meals. These recipes were very successful among friends and family, including those unfamiliar with these dishes.
