Chef R. Paul Hyman Earns the IFWTWA Culinary Excellence Award

The International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association's prestigious award recognizes the best of the best in culinary achievement around the world.

Diamond Bar, CA, August 13, 2011 --( The International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association's (IFWTWA) Excellence Awards program recognizes the world's finest industry professionals in several categories as experienced by the organization's journalist members. Chef R. Paul Hyman earned IFWTWA's Culinary Excellence Award for his exemplary work as Chef de Cuisine in one of the Seattle area's most innovative restaurants, bin on the lake at The Woodmark Hotel, Yacht Club and Spa in Kirkland, Washington.

Chef Hyman has developed a refined palate for combining flavors of the region into interesting and layered dishes, and he is passionate about imparting his knowledge to others. According to the IFWTWA member journalist who nominated Chef Hyman for recognition: “Chef Paul is clearly passionate about food and sustainability issues. During dinner at bin on the lake, the chef explained each dish and the sourcing of the main ingredients. I was very impressed at his knowledge of wild fish herding!”

The award nomination was carefully evaluated and recommended by IFWTWA's Excellence Awards Committee and the award approved by IFWTWA's Board of Directors.
