Artisan Marketplace ArtFire.com Launches New ProPay-Integrated Cart to Enable Faster, Easier Check-Out


ArtFire.com, the artisan marketplace, has launched a new improved cart to streamline the shopping experience on the site.

Tucson, AZ, August 18, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Shopping online is often seen as a less demanding way to shop, but confusing or lengthy checkout processes mean more than 88% of consumers have completely abandoned an online shopping cart without completing their transaction. The new ArtFire shopping cart aims to reduce unfinished transactions by seamlessly integrating with ProPay’s merchant services. ProPay's secure payment solutions and a new cart design will give ArtFire sellers the ability to offer in-line checkout via any major credit card.

This in-line checkout process reduces common friction points often present in PayPal-style processors, where customers are redirected to a completely different site during checkout to complete payment. ArtFire’s updated shopping cart has been completely rebuilt from the ground up to streamline and simplify not only the checkout process, but also the reports and records of the buyer and seller once transactions are complete. The new cart still provides ArtFire shoppers the convenience of a “no account required” guest checkout, with added speed and ease-of-use.

ArtFire’s new cart update also contains updates that address the issue of un-paid orders created by shoppers who change their minds prior to completing payment. Orders being paid with credit card, PayPal, or Amazon Checkout must now have confirmed payment before items are removed from the sales floor and the transaction is considered complete.
