Seattle, WA, August 19, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- Making it big in the music and entertainment industry is not that easy. While the competition is much tougher than it used to be a few decades ago, the taste of listeners has also evolved greatly. However, there are always some standouts who manage to strum the strings of their audience’s heart through soulful harmonies, meaningful melodies and stirring lyrical content. According to Daniel Feinberg, and Chayim Newman one such recent example is Seattle’s indie band "The Head and The Heart" (THATH).
Following the band’s rising popularity, a fan community has been launched recently by the pair. Named after the band’s popular single "Lost in my mind," the community is titled Lostinmymind.com. The fan community will keep THATH fans updated about the bands recent activities, tours, projects and media appearances. It also offers a platform for all THATH’s fan to come together, discuss and share their passion.
According to Daniel Feinberg co-founder of The Head and The Heart fan community, “With the quantity of artists increasing by the day, some say that the quality of music is greatly declining. Bands like The Head and The Heart are creating quality music which requires no mainstream marketing. Good music gets itself recognized in time, and THATH's increasing popularity and following is proof of this notion. Lostinmymind.com is made by fans for the fans, and in the end of the day, it is the fans that make or break an artist.”
Lostinmymind.com also offers an insight into the history and the story of the band including exclusive interviews with band members. Recently, the website shared the interview with the band’s drummer, Tyler Williams. Feinberg said that more interviews will be coming out on a regular basis. “We plan to publish an interview with one of the band members, every two weeks from August through October,” he ensured.
The very first headlining tour of "The Head and The Heart" is scheduled this September. The band has already been creating excitement in many tours while opening for bands including Dave Matthews, the Decembrists, Death Cab for Cutie and Iron and Wine. The hype created around their first headlining tour is even more extensive.
Lostinmymind.com also announced that the fan site will be featuring the photography of one amateur or pro photographer per show on the upcoming tour. Furthermore, the fan site is also offering the "official launch sweepstakes" for the band’s fans joining the community. The Grand Prize of the sweepstakes offer will be a show-used authentic drum head signed by the band.
