Sao Paulo, Brazil, August 20, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- Tapps launches the 'Name that Flag' application, a new educational application, designed for people who want to discover, learn and memorize the countries flags of the world. The application is a quiz game with nearly 200 countries flags images, two game modes and two difficulty levels. It also presents a list of all the countries, with high resolution flags and their map location.
The two game modes are as follows: the flag to name mode and the name to flag mode. In the first mode you are presented with a country's flag and alternatives for its name, and need to choose the correct name for the given flag. In the second mode you are presented with a country's name and alternatives with countries' flags, and need to choose the correct flag for the given name. Either mode has two difficulty levels: easy with four alternatives and hard with six alternatives.
At start you are given 20 seconds to answer the first question. If you select the correct alternative you get 3 seconds added to your time counter and advance to the next question. Selection of wrong alternatives will decrease your time counter. Although any score counts, the main goal is to answer all the questions correctly before the countdown ends.
The Name that Flag application has integration with Game Center to share scores with all players. Furthermore, it is possible to share your scores with your friends or invite them to play through email or Facebook and Twitter social networks.
This is the first application in a series of educational applications that Tapps is planning to launch within the next months. Among the future applications are other educational quiz games with different themes such as chemistry, mathematics and history, test simulations, and other tools for students and teachers.
