Shenzhen, China, August 22, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- LED flashlight store Lazerpoint released a series of anti-laser glasses this Wednesday.
Nelson Mail reported that a green laser light was pointed at an Air Nelson Q300 plane as it prepared to land in Nelson on August 16. Police and airline representatives took solemnly the actions of a person or people who committed this "potentially dangerous act." According to Johnson Gray, Public Relations manager for China solar flashlight supplier Lazerpoint, all the people on the plane would be in danger if the person or people pointed into the eyes of the pilot with the laser light. In order to prevent any future danger, Lazerpoint launched a series of anti-laser goggles.
According to Mr. Gray, laser was a double-edged sword.
“Laser has been used in many fields, such as medical science and teaching. We can take its advantage to make life easier and better but incorrect use will lead to great loss,” said Mr. Gray.
Johnson Gray said Lazerpoint wanted to warn people never to point at people with their laser pointers.
“It’s no kidding at all. During the period since January, there have been over 45 reported attempts to blind Russian airliner pilots with laser beams, according to Nelson Mail,” said Mr. Gray. “People have to realize that any wrong doing with their laser pointer is irreparable. Parents should be in company with their kids when the kids are playing with laser pointer or else they should never allow their kids to play with it. These anti-laser glasses may help a little but there is still a long way to go.”
