Michael Skidmore’s His and Hers, with a new cast and direction at the ATA; The Sargent Theatre, 314 West 54st 4th floor.

Bernadette and Michael’s relationship has fallen by the wayside enough that they’ve even begun dating. But they can’t move on until they sell their apartment and divide their belongings. As the evening progresses and after a few drinks Bernadette comes up with a brilliant idea: Let’s invite our dates to dinner.

Playwright Michael Skidmore has written a number of plays, TV pilots and films. He recently placed as a semi-finalist in the AAA screenwriting contest for his Sci-fi film "2025," and also placed as a quarter finalist for the comedy film "The 59th Street Bridge" and the thriller "A Moment of Madness."

Director David Triacca’s production of Den of Thieves by Stephen Adly Guirgis also at the American Theatre of Actors, received praise from numerous critics including the New York Times. He has directed plays at the Living Theatre, American Place Theatre, The Revisionist Group (Actors Studio Theatre), The Impact Theatre, The Strawberry One-Act Festival, Michael Chekhov Theatre, Manitoba Theatre Centre, The Phoenix Theatre Company and the Guthrie Theatre. David is also a produced writer as well as co-founder and artistic director of the Groundworks Theatre Company, which performs original showcase productions that have been highly acclaimed by the industry both in New York and Los Angeles.

Cast includes: Jade Anderson (Avante Garde, MRT), Lowell Byers (Dr. Jake in Night Float, Playwrights Horizons), Ivette Dumeng (The Monkey Show, LaBrynth), Dave Hanson (Henry IV Pamona Playhouse) costumes by Pamela Quinzi

The American Theatre of Actors was founded in 1976 by James Jennings, who continues as its President and Artistic Director. It is a repertory theatre company. Its purpose is to promote the development of new playwrights, directors and actors and provide them a creative atmosphere in which to work without the pressures of commercial theatre.

ID Worknet founded in 2011 and it is a casting entity most recently cast Chaography by Douglas Chang.

His and Hers runs from September 7th through the 11th on the following schedule. Wednesday, September 7th at 8pm, Thursday, September 8th at 8pm, Friday, September 9th at 8pm, Saturday, September 10th at 8pm, Sunday, September 11th 3pm. Opening night for His and Hers is Wednesday, September 8th at 8pm.
