Roselle Park, NJ, April 04, 2007 --(PR.com
)-- Karyna DaRosa takes readers on a gripping, sensuous journey into the best and worst of human nature; where truth conquers lies, loyalty smites deceit, and two lonely, broken people find a place in each other's heart.
The heroine, Cassie Taylor, does not need a man to take care of her. Since inheriting her father’s working ranch and irrigation company, she can handle any situation. In the midst of an unrelenting drought, Cassie is forced to ration the water. This does not sit well with the neighboring ranchers, who already bristle at deferring to a woman.
Gunslinger, Cole Mitchell, works for Amos Barrington, who doesn’t like Cassie one little bit. As the largest landowner, Barrington feels entitled to more than his share of the water. He sends spies to Cassie’s property, has his men and the townsfolk harass her, but Cassie sticks to her guns. Cole is sickened by his employer’s tactics. After learning Barrington sent some men to put Cassie in her place, Cole rushes to her defense. Now Cassie must learn to trust a man with no ties, and even fewer loyalties, if she’s to defend what’s rightfully hers.
