The RARE Celebrates the Opening of Their New Gallery with the Premier Exhibition and Appearance by Legendary Rock Photographer Neil Zlozower

Santa Ana, CA, August 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Rock and Roll Emporium Collectors Gallery celebrates the grand opening of their new location with the premier of a fine art photographic exhibition and appearance by legendary rock photographer Neil Zlozower Saturday, August 27, 7pm at 3731 W. Warner Ave, Santa Ana, CA 92704.

In the rock and roll business for more than 40 years, photographer Neils Zozower has watched more than his fair share of rising starts from behind the camera. His career spans from 1967 to the present day. Having spent time with the likes of Motley Crue, Ratt and Van Halen, as they made their way to the top of the charts, "Zloz" got to know the behind-the-music business of rock long before VH1. Beginning his career as a glorified fan, Zlozower has gone on to become one of the most sought-after photographers in the business.

His photos can be seen in all the major music/guitar magazines, company ads, major recording artists album photos, VH-1, MTV Headbanger's Ball, Hard Rock Cafe's worldwide and just about anywhere else music photos are used.

He is the author of four popular books; "Van Halen - A Visual History 1974-1984," "Motley Crue - A Visual History 1983 - 2005," "Fuck You - Rock and Roll Portraits" and "Six String Heroes - Photographs of Great Guitarists." His latest book, a coffee table photo book titled "Eddie Van Halen" (foreward by Slash) will be out October 12th, 2011. Copies of his published books will be on sale as well as several fine art prints at the appearance.

“The ‘Zloz’ is a living legend,” said Andrew Kirby managing partner of The Rock and Roll Emporium. “To hear Kevin Dugan and Michael Anthony talk about Zlozower as he went on tour with Van Halen from 1978, 79 and 80, he was like a member of the band. The stories he captured from behind the camera are an important part of rock history and we are honored to have him with us to celebrate our new gallery opening.”

From it’s inception in 2004 in Downtown Huntington Beach, the Rock and Roll Emporium Collectors Gallery (known as The RARE) has grown to become the leading resource for Rock and Roll Memorabilia, Fine Art, Guitars and Gifts as well as a major attraction for Orange County. The new gallery, centrally located in Santa Ana, features a cast collection of vintage guitars, authentic autographs, fine art, photography, collectibles, apparel and accessories from many of the best-known and respected artists in the world.
