NBS Continues Network Expansion with Atlanta Point of Presence

More Southeastern PoPs Added to Bolster IP Presence Nationwide

Wayne, NJ, August 24, 2011 --(PR.com)-- NBS, a Northern NJ based telecom reseller, MSP and full service communications provider, announced today the expansion of its nationwide IP network to include an additional Point of Presence (PoP) in Atlanta, GA. The new PoP is located in Telx’s Atlanta Data Center Colocation and Interconnection facility at 56 Marietta Street, home to the Southeast’s largest concentration of telecom connectivity. NBS, in business for over 27 years, has transport network connectivity worldwide but with the addition of the Atlanta location, as well as a recent PoP expansion in Miami, they have significantly added to their ability to offer diverse and cost effective telecom solutions to their customers.

Atlanta is a major interconnection point between FL and NY and by utilizing Telx’s 56 Marietta St. facility NBS can provide both customers and partners with further choices for direct access to carrier neutral SONET, Ethernet and Dedicated Internet services. Atlanta is a transmission hub for the country’s two largest fiber optic trunk routes. Metro Atlanta ranks in the top five U.S. markets for total bandwidth and fiber access, according to a report by The Georgia Power Data Center. Businesses colocating in Atlanta will be locating their servers in one of the most densely populated interconnection sites in the country, with access to the largest amount of fiber in the state of Georgia.

“Further leveraging our relationship with Telx, the 56 Marietta Street facility in Atlanta physically connects us with hundreds of domestic and international carrier partners,” explained NBS president Russell Markman. “This fits right in with our strategy to continuously provide our customers with diverse, multi-carrier, network neutral services,” he later added. The company offers DIA, hosted VoIP, SIP trunk and MPLS services nationally and has relationships with a large group of international carrier partners as well.

Further enhancing the NBS Network's Southeastern coverage, this expansion into two of the fastest growing telecom hub locations in the country, brings even more diversity and flexibility to the company's services portfolio. NBS is actively searching for new resellers/partners in both the Atlanta and Miami areas, and company representatives will be available to meet with possible candidates at the upcoming Channel Partners Conference and Expo. Taking place from August 24th through the 26th at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago, NBS is exhibiting this year at booth number 1421. Delivering a full set of data and telecom options, their unique status as CLEC, ISP, Managed Service Provider and telecom reseller gives them the flexibility to service customers nationwide via their extensive network of channel partners and dealers.
