Bibliotastic Awards 3G Kindle for Comment on Fantasy Novel Ariella

The winner of bibliotastic.com’s competition is delighted with the 3G Kindle she won for her review of fantasy novel Ariella. The author is also delighted with the feedback this competition has generated on up-and-coming writers.

London, United Kingdom, August 24, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Competition winner Lynn Phillips wrote, "As a college student majoring in English Literature, bibliotastic is a gold mine for me. I'm currently in my third year of school with hopes to become a librarian when I've graduated, with perhaps some writing on the side. In my spare time I'm composing my own short stories, performing in theatre productions, and traveling. A big thanks goes out to bibliotastic for their Kindle 3G competition, which I was lucky enough to win! I couldn't have done it without reading (and reviewing) Ariella, a great story by Imani Bey. Go check it out!"

Imani Bey commented, “I can't remember when I've gotten such a good and detailed review. When I first posted my story, I feared it wasn't very good. But bibliotastic has given me a chance, as it can give other authors, to show others - and themselves- their true potential.”

Close runner up Ellie wrote “We have come to rely on editors, who are bound by the strict guidelines of their published imprints, to seek out stories that will meet our expectations. As we move into the digital age, those editors will no longer guard the gates; instead websites where reviewers willingly share their thoughts and opinions will be sought out. Bibliotastic is a brilliant example, showcasing a wide range of talented authors from every genre, and offering their readers previews, ratings, and thoughtful comments and reviews. For the first time readers themselves have the power to recommend the kind of stories they enjoy.”

James Crawshaw, co-founder of bibliotastic.com, would like to thank everyone for taking part in the competition: “The quality of reviews has increased markedly since our last competition and it was really tough to pick a winner. Our authors are delighted with the feedback on their books and we look forward to getting more user reviews in the coming months.”

Bibliotastic’s competition for comments ran from 14 June to 31 July. The competition entries can be seen here:
