)-- After making waves with their self-titled, 3-track EP earlier this year, the Delhi based hindi rock band, Sifar, has announced the release of their first full length album in September '11. The album will feature the song "Gunah" from band's debut EP which has already started receiving airplay. The album has been produced by Singer/ Songwriter/ Guitarist Amit Yadav, and is being mixed by renowned producer, and label boss Gaurav Dayal. "The upcoming album and the video release are going to be very exciting for us because seeing the response to the EP so far, I'm sure Sifar fans are waiting to hear more from the band," says Dayal. The self-titled EP not only made an impact on the fans, but has been received very well by many established musicians as well. One of them is Nitin Malik of Parikrama. "I think Sifar is probably one band which has given a glorious face to the concept of Hindi rock," says Malik.
Influenced by Grunge, and Punk bands of late 80s and early 90s, Sifar came together in 2008 but really started to take shape in 2010 when the songwriting partnership of Amit Yadav, and Anshul Bansal spiraled into a full fledged live band. Since then, the band has performed at various college festivals across the country including many IITs. The Delhi band has also been featured on various radio stations across the country.
