Tarheel Junior Golf Tour hosted the Wake County Junior Championship at the Club 12 oaks in Holly Springs, North Carolina on August 20-21, 2011. The junior golf championship draws elite junior golfers from across North Carolina and as far away as New York.

Raleigh, NC, August 29, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Wake County Junior Championship is played on one of the hardest courses in North Carolina and when someone gets a hole-in-one, its very special.

Thomas Eldridge of Raleigh, NC didn't know that when he walked up to the tee box on the third hole, playing in the Wake County Junior Championship, this was his day. The 181 yard par 3 had been playing difficult for most players all day but Thomas pulled out a hybrid, stepped up and just knocked it in for an ace. Both his mom and dad where on hand to witness his first tournament Hole-In-One. Thomas went on to place 5th place in the freshman/sophomore class. The field was very strong and 3 of the players ahead of Thomas were former junior champions including the currant Noth Carolina 4A high School Champion. Three exemptions into the REX Hospital Junior Open Invitational were given out based on strong play.
