Empire Retreat in Western Australia Earns IFWTWA Excellence Award in Hospitality

The International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association's prestigious award recognizes the best of the best in hospitality around the world.

Diamond Bar, CA, August 31, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association's (IFWTWA) Excellence Awards program recognizes the world's finest travel and tourism industry professionals as experienced by the organization's journalist members. Empire Retreat in Western Australia's Margaret River Wine Region has earned this award for excellence in the hospitality industry.

According to the IFWTWA member journalist who nominated Empire for recognition: “If you could somehow imagine the best of Bali combined with the Southwest of Australia, you’d begin to understand the superb ambiance and luxury of this sanctuary. This retreat is set amongst 265 acres of bushland pasture on a working farm property complete with the Empire Estate Vineyard to stroll through before sipping some of their fine wine.”

The award nomination was carefully evaluated and recommended by IFWTWA's Excellence Awards Committee and the award approved by IFWTWA's Board of Directors.

“As a winner of an IFWTWA Excellence Award, Empire Retreat exemplifies the professional standards that represent the best in the hospitality industry worldwide,” said Maralyn Hill, IFWTWA President.
