Support the Jefferson County Community by Rocking the Night Away with Butch Wax & The Hollywoods and the Michael Terry Group

Arnold, MO, August 31, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Arnold Food Pantry and the National MS Society Gateway Area Chapter have teamed up with legendary entertainers Butch Wax & The Hollywoods and The Michael Terry Group to bring a rocking-good time to the Rickman Auditorium in Arnold, MO on Saturday, October 8th at 7 p.m. Fifty percent of ticket sales will benefit Walk MS: Arnold and the other fifty percent will benefit the Arnold Food Pantry.

Kicking off the evening’s events, The Michael Terry Group will perform original songs with a blues/rock flair. The group’s soulful lyrics and gritty sound have made them one of St. Louis’ best blues bands.

Headlining the event, Butch Wax & the Hollywoods have regularly been named one of Missouri’s best bands. The group will perform great Oldies, Motown classics, and the very best of the 50′s, 60′s, & 70′s. The nine-member band originates from St. Louis and features two keyboard players, two female singers, horns, and a funky, soulful rhythm section.

“We’re excited to be bringing two talented yet different bands to the Arnold community,” said Roger Horn, Board President, Arnold Food Pantry. “No matter what kind of music you enjoy, you’ll enjoy seeing these bands. We’re also incredibly thankful to Rickman Auditorium and the Fox C-6 school district for hosting the event and to the City of Arnold Tourism Commission for sponsoring the event. Each and every dollar from our ticket sales will go toward benefiting the Arnold Food Pantry and the MS Society and we couldn’t be happier about the community’s support.”

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and individual ticket prices range from $22 to $35. Buy-one-get-one-free coupons are available in the August 25 edition of the Jefferson County Leader thanks to event sponsor, The City of Arnold Tourism Commission.
