Texas Self Storage Association Welcomes New Board Members

The Texas Self Storage Association (TSSA) announced the results of their recent board member elections. New officers will be elected prior to October 1 and will be introduced at the Annual TSSA Convention and Trade Show scheduled for October 16-18, 2011 in Austin.

Round Rock, TX, September 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Texas Self Storage Association (TSSA) announced the results of their recent board member elections. Newly elected to serve three-year terms on the board of directors are: David Hunt (Access Self Storage, Lancaster), and Jill Schwengler (Texan Self Storage, Wimberley). Mark Skeans (Mission Road Mini-Storage, San Antonio) was re-elected to another three-year term and currently serves as Treasurer. Charles Plunkett (Capco Steel, Inc., San Antonio) was once again elected to serve a one-year term as the vendor member representative on the board of directors.

The new and returning board members will participate in an upcoming planning meeting where they will join current board members: President Robert Loeb (Castle Hills Self Storage, Victoria); Vice President Tom McCloskey (MC Self Storage, Lytle); Secretary Mike Gately (Daughtry Properties, San Antonio); Immediate Past President Dan Small (Diamond Self Storage, Pearland); Paul Glover (Storage Choice, Dallas); Kathy Hall (Burnet Road Self Storage, Austin); Ricky Jenkins (The Jenkins Organization, Houston); Jay Kanter (O’Connor Self Storage, Dallas); Amy Nolan (The Storage Place, Corpus Christi).

Currently serving as ex-officio members of the board are: Lolita Bader (A Better Place Self Storage, Boerne); Wayne Johnson (Strategic Storage Holdings, Dallas); Josh Parrott (AAA Storage Centers, Lubbock); and Kathy Tautenhahn (Tautenhahn Holdings, The Woodlands).

New officers will be elected prior to October 1 and will be introduced at the Annual TSSA Convention and Trade Show scheduled for October 16-18, 2011 in Austin. TSSA is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year and invites anyone interested in the self-storage industry to attend the convention. The Texas Self Storage Association was established in 1986 and is a non-profit trade association dedicated to enhancing the quality of the self-storage industry in Texas. The Association provides opportunities for members to increase their knowledge of the self-storage industry through education, research, discussion and exchange of information.
